Local bike advocacy organizations encourage and support cycling tourism.
The San Joaquin Bike Coalition (SJBC) is a volunteer-based 501c3 organization, with a mission to promote bicycle safety and improve the means to use alternative transportation in San Joaquin County. Through outreach and events, SJBC will perform three fundamental functions:
Advocate for bicyclists’ and pedestrians’ interests in county and city governmental policies
Provide resources and education to pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists to promote safety and awareness
Work with citizens and likeminded organizations throughout the county to promote bicycle and pedestrian friendly communities.
